A cosy self catering holiday cottage offering accommodation for up to 4 people situated on a working croft in the parish of Rogart.

It is in a beautiful part of the Highlands with heather moors and rolling hills stretching as far as the eye can see. Just 7 miles inland from Golspie and just 60 miles north of Inverness.

Whether you’re looking for a complete get away from it all, an action packed outdoor fix or some space and freedom for the children to run around in.

Our cottage is ideally situated to access a diversity of attractions within the whole of Sutherland and Caithness.

There are miles of wonderful walking at hand, whether it’s a stroll along one our many beautiful beaches, a ramble through woodland tracks and riverside paths, or a hard slog to bag a Munro!

Activities

To make the best of your holiday, you can take advantage of the many
exciting activities carefully selected for you.

Canoeing, mountain biking, fishing, horse riding and climbing are all available locally. If golfing is your thing then there are many interesting courses to play, including the famous golf links course at Dornoch. The nature reserves at local strath fleet and more northerly Forsinard, and westerly handa are a haven for bird life and birdwatchers alike, and an abundance of wildlife, including the magnificient red deer will be right on your doorstep (not literally of course!!).

Other attractions include Shinfalls Visitor Centre and the river cassley falls where you can watch the salmon leap, Castle of Mey, numerous distilleries, Dunrobin Castle and many museums and visitor centres. A little further afield you have Loch Ness where you can scan the horizon for that glimpse of the monster! With so much to choose from you will never be lost for things to do.

Also we now have 4 miles of footpaths that we have created through our woodland and across our hill for you to enjoy right from the doorstep of the cottage.
